Law Enforcement and Government Agencies
We work with police forces, forensic units and government bodies that require reliable toxicology for criminal investigations, public protection and regulatory processes. Our laboratory provides comprehensive analysis of alcohol, drugs and poisons using LC-MS/MS and high-resolution mass spectrometry. We support alcohol technical defence (ATD) work and undertake Section 4, 5, 5A of the UK's Road Traffic Act 1988 by delivering accredited testing for alcohol and drug driving offence cases.
Our scientists provide clear interpretation that can assist with investigative decision making and evidential reporting. When required, expert witness testimony is available to support court proceedings.
Pharmaceutical Organisations
Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies rely on ASI for high quality clinical bioanalysis and specialist assay development. We support drug development programmes with pharmacokinetic studies, metabolite profiling, biomarker analysis, dry blood spot bioanalysis and small molecule quantification.
Our extensive assay library and experience across more than 500 studies allow us to meet the analytical requirements of early-stage research through to clinical trials. All work can be delivered under GLP and GCP compliant conditions using state of the art mass spectrometry.
Coroners and Pathologists
We provide coronial toxicology services that help determine whether alcohol, drugs or other toxic substances contributed to a death. Our experts are experienced in postmortem analysis and offer detailed interpretation that takes account of case history, drug stability, redistribution and other factors relevant to forensic pathology.
ASI also offers specialist assays that support complex coronial investigations, including insulin, C peptide and GLP 1 agonist analysis. All results are produced with full quality assurance and can be accompanied by expert opinion.
Contract Research Organisations
Contract Research Organisations (CRO) work with ASI for high quality analytical support across a wide range of study types. Our experienced scientists collaborate with CRO partners to deliver clinical trial bioanalysis, compound quantification, assay development and method validation. We provide flexible capacity, responsive communication and data that can be relied upon for study progression, regulatory submission and scientific publication.
